The simple rice noodles are white in colour and taste smooth and soft. They’re made of starch from rice flour and may come in two major shapes –round (mifen/’rice noodles’) and flat (Qiefen/’sliced noodles’). They are served plain in mild pork or beef broth, adding a few pieces of green veggies into this dish also enhance the flavour.
Guilin rice noodles are one of the numerous Chinese dishes, which withstood the test of time ever since its development over 2000 years ago in the Qin Dynasty. Even up to this day, it stays a powerhouse of the local cuisine.
How to use
A. Noodles without Soup Preparation:
1. Put dried rice noodles in 400ml boiling water and cook for 13 minutes.
2. Drain the water.
3. Add seasoning packages and stir well.
4. Enjoy the Guilin style rice noodles.
B. Noodles with Soup Preparation:
1. Put dried rice noodles in 400ml boiling water and cook for 13 minutes.
2. Add seasoning packages and stir well.
3. Enjoy the Guilin style rice noodles in soup.
