Wuyi Black tea is rather robust with flavor yet mellow. This fine black tea is grown and harvested in China’s Wuyi mountains. Teas from this area, in which the lush vegetation of sub-tropical forests hugs cliffs and rocky river banks, are known for their distinctive ‘rock charm’. Wuyi Black is a little different; blessed by the mineral tang of the region’s volcanic rock, it is also distinctive in taste, flirting with heady floral notes and a fragrant sweetness. The thin twisted leaves produce a sweet fragrance even before steeping.

Once brewed, the tea offers up aromas of smoky caramel and earth, rich wheat flavors with a hint of sweetness, and a smooth, light body.
