POTPOT Standard Grade Organic Matcha tea is a wonderful choice for people who are new to matcha. It’s more affordable than the highest ‘Ceremonial’ grade. This organic matcha has a very pleasant flavour and mixes well with water. The tea imparts a smooth and mellow flavour with grassy and sweet undertones.

To make matcha tea, the tea bushes are cared for throughout the year. In the last 20 days before harvest, the bushes are shaded from direct sunlight. This process enhances the production of natural green pigment and healthy amino acids. After being hand-harvested, the finest tea buds are dried, destemmed and de-veined. The tea leaves are then stone-ground to a fine powder. It can take up to one hour to grind 30 grams of matcha.
